You know what? I give up. I predict a sub-only release for this one, too. Rrgh. I hate how much everyone conspires to make sure Tales fails in a fiery blaze in the US-- they give the games AWESOME production values for the dubbing, but can't be bothered to advertise or even let the world know it even EXISTS. When was the last time we had a decent microsite for it? Legendia? Abyss' was so, SO half-assed.

I think I subconsciously gave up on Namco Bandai a long time ago, and have since returned to my old friend Falcom....who have been sending their Ys series and now their Legend of Heroes series to our shores via XSEED localization, which has been VERY good. I've always been a fan of the Ys series but these games have been mind-blowing, excellently done.

Sorry Tales, but, until Bamco decides to stop screwing you up....I've got a new preferred company >_>

Every part/clothing piece that was available in PSU is available in PSP2 (upon full completion of Story Mode, Normal and Hard) along with many new sets (see Chelsea's new clothes). You unlock stuff as you complete each chapter. This is also true for weaponry. So yes, Blastoise can reclaim his former badassery and build upon it (I think you'll like the new Spear PA). Hikaru might like to hear that you can use a Shield as an offhand weapon now, and executing a Perfect Block with one (think SMRPG) reflects some damage back at enemies.

I seriously think you'll like it, and anyone can play online with anyone as long as you have your router set up for PSP (ie multi-mode enabled) and you input the code inside the PSP2 case.

Hahaha, crap, Best Buy is only packing the first game. So I'll have to loot it over PSN. Hopefully I have enough space on my weeny-ass 2GB memory stick, otherwise I know what I'll be flinging my card at~

Kinda stopped playing after getting into both PSP Ys games but seeing that you guys are getting into it re-sparks my interest.

Circumstances (namely my original PSP being freaking old and flaky and turning itself off at random) demand I acquire a new PSP. So, a 3000-series has been ordered. Gave my PSN wallet a shot in the arm while I was at it.

Oh neat, PSP2 is only $16? Hah! Everywhere else said $40 for the UMD version. Suckers!

So... yeah, yay for being able to install on up to 5 machines, so my crappy old PSP can serve as a temp unit until my new PSP comes in. Rerolling Blastoise for sure... I don't know if this will be an all-Avatar team (Yggdrasil would have to be a human since he is OLD MAN...) or do Blastoise/Hikaru/Phil. >_>;

I'm also going to loot Disgaea 2 since the PSP version did something AWESOME and retroactively implemented the gameplay upgrades from Disgaea 3, and then some! But I'll definitely have to get a bigger memory stick at this rate...

Rolled Blastoise first. Surprisingly, it didn't take long for me to remember which way is up. Once I got a spear... oh yeah, tear 'em all apart, dood!

GOT AHOLD OF THE JP PSP2i DEMO. IT IS VERY AWESOME.

Lots and lots of really nice gameplay improvements, more than I can list here really, but they're all in the right direction. I'm very much digging Charge Shot II, feels like my guns have actual PAs now which is nice. Dumans....are like glass cannons, VERY strong but defensively not that great. Humans/Newmans got better HP and better PP regen, which is VERY nice. New hairstyles are awesome too.
